Confórmate grew out of a friendship that goes back to 2009, when José Miguel and Antonio met at the University of Córdoba while studying Primary Education, specialising in Physical Education. From the very beginning, they connected through their way of understanding life and the energy they brought to everything they did.

Over time, their academic paths took them to Granada, where they continued their studies in Physical Activity and Sport Sciences, and later abroad, to England, where they kept sharing ideas, concerns and ways of seeing the world.

Throughout those years, one idea was always present: to create something of their own, a space where they could express themselves and give shape to projects and ideas.

It was in this context that the name Confórmate emerged. This play on words became a way of understanding things: not settling, but continuing to learn, build and move forward.

Although the idea had been there for some time, it was not until 2019, once they were professionally established as teachers, that they decided to give the project a real form through a first joint initiative. That initial step marked the beginning of the association as it exists today.

At Confórmate, projects do not follow a closed structure or a predefined model. They emerge from concerns, ideas or needs that arise within the group or in our immediate surroundings.

From there, they are shared, discussed and developed collaboratively, taking shape as proposals that may range from local initiatives to projects with a broader scope.

Each person’s involvement depends on the project and the moment, allowing participation to remain flexible and adapted to individual circumstances.

In this way, our work is based on the freedom to propose ideas, collaboration between people and the will to turn ideas into meaningful actions.

Confórmate looks to the future with the intention of continuing to grow organically, without losing the essence or the way of understanding projects that has brought us this far.

We do not seek to become a larger or more complex structure, but to continue creating spaces where ideas can become meaningful actions.

We want to keep promoting projects that arise from real concerns, learning along the way and adapting to what each stage requires.

Above all, we want to remain faithful to the idea that started it all: creating something that makes sense for the people who are part of it and for the world around them.
